Swift updates Eras Tour setlist

By Imogen Abbott

With the release of her latest surprise double album The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift is holding on to her title of Top Female Artist.

Fans are going crazy for this release, with sales surpassing two million within its first month of release in April 2024. Understandably so, with big-name feature artists like Post Malone and Florence and the Machine.

With its immediate success, poetically compelling lyrics, and a star cast, it has rightfully earned its place at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and ARIA charts, as well as recently earning its place in the Eras setlist.

In Paris, fans heard seven tracks from TTPD that had been added into the tour setlist, and were captivated by her latest costume changes which showcase elaborate white dresses and sparkly bodysuits, spotlighted by a UFO.

Eras Tour Down Under

With her Eras Tour estimated to make around $A5 billion, it is clear that she is one of the biggest pop stars of this time.

When she took the flight Down Under in February 2024, we asked some Swifties out the front of Accor Stadium why no one can get enough of Taylor Swift.

Katie and Ally think that Taylor Swift is such a big celeb at the moment because of “her lyrics”.

Later when we spoke to Hayley and Emily they agreed, saying that “her lyrics relate more than a lot of other people’s music”.

Hayley also said that Swift is set apart from other musicians simply because of “who she is”.

Danielle was wearing Taylor’s iconic yellow dress and green cape from the Evermore album, which she laughed at, telling us her favourite album is actually Folklore.

Danielle put a lot of effort into her Eras tour outfit, saying she embroidered and added the rhinestones by hand herself.

She told us that Swift has had a big impact on her life, saying that “her songs are so relatable – me and my sister jam along to them”.
