Another billion-dollar bridge view

By Alejandro Krakowszky

The Iron Cove Bridge goes to bed with a spectacular view of Sydney’s sunset.

From runners exercising throughout the day to cars driving over it after work, it is constantly busy.

The bridge was built in 1882 to connect Rozelle and Balmain to Drummoyne.

Nowadays the Iron Cove Bridge is used by thousands for their daily commute to work, school or other places. Recently the West Connex project has created problems by adding and removing lanes that channel towards the bridge.

But it’s not just about cars and buses, the Iron Cove Bridge is also an integral part of the The Bay Run.

A 7km loop that runs over the bridge, The Bay Run provides people with access to the local parks, sporting and recreational grounds and Birkenhead Point shopping centre.
