Anf, one of our TAFE students, reports for the Australian National Maritime Museum on the museum’s collection of Japanese postcards. Cert IV Screen and Media student Rita captures the installation of the historic signal mast, first erected at Garden Island in 1912 and now installed at the Maritime Mu Sea Um. The report includes an interview with Scott, who supervised the installation on the day. We had a special guest drop in the other week, @mitchellcoombs one of our very own Screen and Media alumni. Mitch has built a huge audience across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook and also co hosts hit podcasts. Our Certificate IV journalism student Robert, filmed a field report on the former RAN Submarine Onslow during our Darling Harbour excursion. His story includes insight from a former captain of the Onslow and was recorded on location at the @sea.museum What a night! Our end of year showcase brought together our Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma students. The energy in the room was huge. Students showed the projects they have built all year and it was a joy to see how far everyone has come. Ever wondered what your morning coffee really thinks of you? Spoiler: It has opinions. Very strong opinions. 🤨 PSA: It’s officially Deck the Halls season! 📣 Our incredible Cert III Screen and Media online student, Alyesha, has officially declared the Christmas countdown ON. 🎅 Forget your basic barometer, because Kristy is serving up a Zodiac Forecast! ☀️🔮 Another incredible collaboration with our Ultimo and St Leonards Screen & Media students! They were out in full force broadcasting live, running tech, hosting panels, jumping into live crosses, and running The Conversation Station.
