Esports are hyper competitive and can be very lucrative for the best of the best, here are some of the most successful Aussie competitors.
No.6: Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami: Coming out of Brisbane, Allami started playing League of Legends at just 11 and competed at his first tournament at just 16. He’s since made just over $20,000 in his career and he’s still in his prime only 22.
No.5: Jake “Virtue” Grannan: Australia’s best Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege player by far, the only player in the Asia-Pacific region to win an S-tier event. The oldest player in the league at the age of 28, he has made a hefty $655,000.
No.4: Rhys “Zer0” Perry: Another success story from Brisbane, this time playing Apex Legends, a game with a lot of Aussie players. Got his start playing online tournaments before moving to in-person events, has made a total of $1.126 million.
No.3: Justin “JKS” Savage: The most successful Australian player in the oldest shooter – Esport Counter-Strike. Savage is the first Australian player to win a Counter-Strike major tournament, with career earnings of just over $1.2 million.
No.2: James “TGLTN” Giezen: Another star from Melbourne, this time well known for being a professional PlayersUnknown’s Battlegrounds player. Giezen has made $1.4 million.
No.1: Anathan “Ana” Pham: Not only the most successful Australian esports players ever but one of the most successful esports players of all time. Pham won the Dota TI 2019 and earned a grand total of $9.6 million over his career, retiring at 23.
