Growing up in the 90’s, a reluctant vampire slayer from Sunnydale named Buffy Summers would shape Marko Jovanovic during his formative years in high school.
You might say this obsession was the catalyst for Jovanovic starting a business based on a lifelong hobby.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was an American super natural television series that ran from 1997 until 2003.
The show follows Vampire Slayer Buffy Summers who is chosen by fate to battle against vampires, demons and other forces of darkness in the fictional town of Sunnydale in California, which sits over a “Hell Mouth” portal where supernatural creatures and beings with mythical powers converge.
Buffy, with her close circle of friends and a watcher who mentors her, tries to save the world from doom one day at a time.
Buffy’s peak according to Jovanovic was definitely Season Three, the last year of high school.
“I was in Year 11 at the time, so I had all the same feelings, what happens after high school and all the big changes,” he said.
“It was a great season where the (Sunnydale) Mayor was involved in an ascension. They (the writers) wouldn’t tell us what the ascension is and what’s going to happen. They strung it out until the end of the season.”
What kept Jovanovic and his friends watching every week was how relatable the show was.
“What was really refreshing was about the show was the writing of Joss Whedon,” he said. “The characters sounded like teenagers and the way me and my friends talked at the time, so that really resonated with us. We would run to school run to school after it aired and just gossip about it all day.”

Jovanovic is quick to name Willow (played by Allison Hannigan) as his favourite character.
“Actually, my first password to my first email was Willow is a babe.”
His most Buffy trading card is without a shadow of a doubt is the Willow Autograph card.
“Can’t go pass the Buffy Season 1 autograph card,” Jovanovic said.
“Alyson Hannigan was one of the only main cast to sign in the early years so that was a really big one for me.”
