Has your feed been flooded with the Hallyu wave, or perhaps you have heard K-pop on the radio and it’s stuck in your head? Let that be your sign to visit the birthplace of Gangnam Style.
Here are the top 5 destinations in Seoul.
No.1: Myeongdong
Located in the middle of Seoul, Myeongdong is a must-visit place to add to your itinerary. From the endless choices of shopping to the buzzing night food markets, Myeongdong has you covered with all sorts of choices.
Suggested Activity: Visit after 5pm for endless options of viral foods such as skewers or Oreo churros.
No.2: Seongsu
For a perfect mix of cafes and shopping, Seongsu offers all sorts of trendy things to do. Each month there are different pop-up stores, so be sure to check in advance. Visit trendy cafes with various themes and menu items and be sure not to miss salt bread with iced americanos.

No.3: Gangnam
Gangnam is a rich and lively part of Seoul. The birthplace of Gangnam Style, Gangnam is a unique place to visit. Check out the viral Starfield COEX Mall library and explore the various shops and restaurants. Take a look at various luxury stores and explore the large buildings.
Suggested Activity: Film a video of you doing Gangnam Style outside the Gangnam style hands.
No.4: Jamsil
Jamsil is a vibrant part of Seoul. It’s home to Lotte World Tower and Mall, Hangang Park and Lotte World (a major indoor and outdoor theme park). Attend a K-pop concert at Jamsil Indoor Stadium and explore local cafes.
Suggested Activity: Rent a school uniform and visit Lotte World.
No.5: Hongdae
Hongdae is a personal favourite of mine. It’s a vibrant part of Seoul, particularly popular among youthful travellers. Visit and explore the extensive amount of shops, live buskers and various cafes, and don’t forget to check out the nightlife and various clubs.
Suggested Activity: Finish the day at a noraebang (karaoke room).
